Gregory L. Moore, Editor of The Denver Post to join host Sharon E. Davis on A Safe Place to Talk about Race Show

Gregory L. Moore, Co-chair of the Pulitzer Prize Committee on Journalism, and Editor of the Denver Post , talks Racial Healing behind the Headlines. He appears on A Safe Place to Talk about Race LIVE Radio Show with Sharon E. Davis on VoiceAmerica’s Radio Network - Variety Channel.
Voice America Talk Radio Network, Internet broadcasting pioneer, producing and syndicating online audio and video, today announced that Gregory L. Moore, the Editor of one of USA’s top 20 largest circulated newspapers, The Denver Post, will join Sharon E. Davis, host of A Safe Place to Talk about Race radio program on the VoiceAmerica Variety Channel ( www.voiceamericavariety.com) Monday, June 18th, at 4 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

Gregory L. Moore has managed some of the biggest breaking news stories to occur in Colorado. As Editor of the Denver Post, he is responsible for all news decisions and everything in the paper save the editorial pages.

Race and culture. Every day, our eyes seek information brought to us by THE MEDIA. Do we expect them to be less biased than the consumer? We want to count on ‘them’ to see where we cannot see, be where we do not want to be sometimes, and tell the truth…all of it. But do Asian, Black, Brown, Red and Whites see and react to stories the same way? Is this possible? What do the media need from various cultural groups? How does this play out in some of the most vulnerable and volatile situations related to race and culture. The Power of media, especially in newspapers and internet, is staggering. As consumers, we may not often think of the challenges and opportunities of today’s news writers and editors.

Gregory Moore does not try to represent all points of view of the media, but we believe he knows a lot and is willing to go behind the headlines on racial healing.
“A Safe Place to Talk about Race” airs live on Mondays at 1 PM Pacific / 3 PM Central / 4 PM Eastern on The VoiceAmerica Variety Channel. To access the show, log on at www.voiceamericavariety.com.
