Chris Goddard’s interview with Kaki Hockersmith, owner of interior design firm Kaki Hockersmith Interiors, was conducted from the Clinton House Museum in Fayetteville, AR. The two local designers discussed Kaki’s 30 years of experience, and her creativity used to design the White House, Oval Office, and State rooms for President Clinton and Hillary Clinton.
Kaki is not only known for her work with the Clintons, but also countless residential and commercial projects across the country. Her clean and elegant style is in high demand, and is an inspiration to many designers all over the nation. Kaki started off her career working with chain department store, Dillard’s, where she was responsible for design of merchandising and accessories. She worked with the store’s corporate planning office for about ten years, then moved on to start her own business, in which she has been running for over 30 years.
